GlassesShop

Hi guys!

So... personal story time. I wear glasses in real life and I have always HATED shopping for glasses. Like, HATE HATE it. Like, they were always at least $100 and if you wanted actual cute ones the price just went up and up.

BUT!

After stalking Alexa Poletti's awesomeness, she found a shop that made cute kawaii-ish glasses and (*insert trumpet fanfare*) they were cheap and online!

WHA? Is this real life?

(*Gasp*) It isssssss....

Ok, so, I got my glasses from a sale they were having where things were $1 plus shipping. So, my glasses ended up being about $6.

$6, y'all, versus like $100? Holy cow...

The first pair that I got were the Pleasanton Rectangle Black/Blue and it was super easy to do! You don't have to leave your house, you don't have to go get your eyes re-checked.. as long as you have your prescription somewhere all you have to do is type it in and voila! Glasses arrive that are specifically tailored to you and your special eyes!

My Pleasanton Rectangle Black/Blue are super comfy and I wear them with all of my blue outfits! So, of course, since a majority or my outfits are either blue or pink, I also got,

The Barstow Rectangle Black/Rose!

Which I wear with all of my pink outfits!

They are both SO cute, and I love them to death. I can't wait to get more, and my mom even wants to buy some Pleasanton's for herself.

I HIGHLY recommend GlassesShop. Here's their website, go try them out! www.glassesshop.com

MapleLens.com review Part 2!!

So, after the first review from MapleLens, I got to pick out two more sets of contacts from them! It was, as always, the toughest choice ever, but I eventually narrowed it down to EOS Bright Blue and GEO Anime CPA7 Cosplay Contacts.

Let'ssss start with EOS Bright Blue.

I was worried when I first got these that they wouldn't show up well on my dark brown eyes. They are so light, and the color seems to fade in around the edges. But, when I put them in, I was proven wrong!

Bluey bluey bluey bluey blueeeeee!!!! So pretty, AND eye enlarging! Also, I love how the blue seems to spark itself on the outer parts of my irises.

I also like how the brown seeps through the middle. It makes it look like my eye color transitions!!!

I wore these at Anime Weekend Atlanta in September with my Panty cosplay and my Janna cosplay. They were perfect for both and were comfortable for numerous hours of use! I really do like these. They don't shock you from across the street, but they are exotic looking when you're up close.

And then there are these bad boys...

THESE are cosplay lenses from MapleLens called GEO Anime CPA7 Cosplay Contacts.

I was hesitant to order these at first because the only come in plano prescription, and I like to be able to see. But, if you are just using them for photoshoot purposes...

They are pretty awesome!!!

So these are like the brightest pair of contacts that I own, other than my Twilight Princess lenses... which I LOVE because of their brightness, but stopped wearing because they were SO uncomfortable.

(Twilight Princess lenses on left, CPA7 Anime Cosplay Contacts on right)
These, are as bright as those, (if not brighter) and guys... THEY ARE COMFORTABLE!!! Like, seriously.. I've worn these about three times now, and I keep forgetting that they are in my eyes!

These are perfect for the "Shocker" effect, or if you just want them to be seen from across the street. If there was a way to get these in prescription, these would be my favorite contacts ever, hands down. (For those of you that have perfect vision, you're so lucky!)

Super thanks to MapleLens.com for sending me the lenses!! I love them!!!!

Costume SuperCenter, Fancy Fairy Wings and Things and Tinkerbell!! Oh my!!

So....  a while ago, Costume SuperCenter and I had a discussion about doing a review/shoot for an outfit of theirs! And I,  of course, am like, super stoked because 'OMG, yay costume that I don't have to figure out how to make myself!" I went through their numerous costumes on the site and then stumbled across... Tinkerbell.

And I'm like, "YESSSSS" because of course I want to add to my Disney Princess cosplay collection! So, that's what we did. And from there, things became glorious and awesome!

I stalled just a little bit because my eye was caught a while ago by some wickedly gorgeous wings. Has anyone heard of Fancy Fairy Wings and Things? Like seriously, they have the PRETTIEST wings ever. And I am always for things that add something special to your cosplay!

The wings took about a month to come in, and they were HUGE! (Hand carrying them to Anime Weekend Atlanta on my plane was very interesting!) They were so shiny and large, but lightweight and eye catching! I got stopped for SOOO many pictures, and got to learn how to gracefully walk sideways through doors.

I also ordered some green ballerina flats off of eBay, and thanks to Costume SuperCenter sending me some shoe pom poms, I was ready to go!

Now, I was like super excited about all of this, because I've been wanting to work on Tinkerbell for a while, but never found a dress that was accurately close enough. This... This is what I was waiting for! EEEEE!!!

I highly HIGHLY recommend Costume SuperCenter AND Fancy Fairy Wings and Things for any needs that you may have. They are both PHENOMENAL, and I am SO glad that everything came together for this project!!!

Here's my video about Tinkerbell!

And here is Beat Down Boogie's AWA video! I'm at 00:20!

MapleLens review!

Review time!!!  Woo!

So, today we're going over MapleLens.com and their awesome pair of EOS Briller Blue contacts! When I first saw the gorgeous model they already had on the website, I picked another color because I was so intimidated!!! But, I told myself to get over it because I REALLY liked these, and decided to see what I could do with them!

The answer, LOTS! THEY'RE SO PRETTY!

(*ahem*) So, MapleLens sent me the contacts in a cute jewelry box with “MapleLens” on the top and the contacts stashed nicely inside! I also got a cute animal lens case: Blue frogs! I’m so happy. I love when the case matches the color of my contacts. It helps me keep my collection straight.

Blue is my absolute favorite shade of contacts. I love the color they add to my face and even when I’m not wearing eyeshadow or any make up at all, my face already looks different because of the splash of color!

What I love about the EOS Briller Blue is how they are mostly blue, but Ombre themselves into a pretty yellow towards the pupils. How awesome is that?! From there, it fades into the brown of my own eyes and gives it an almost three color effect!

They showed up very well on my dark brown eyes, which is super important because sometimes colors don’t show up well on darker eyes! They were comfortable for the shoot, and gave my eyes the enlarging effect that I am always looking for in my circle lenses!

I absolutely LOVE the colors of these, and so I give the EOS Briller Blue an "A" and the happiest of happy dances! Thank you sooo much for sending them to me, MapleLens!

Get them here!

And, of course we have behind the scenes video!

Geo Coloured Lenses

New review alert! New review alert! AHHHH!!

SOOOOO... I received contacts from GEO Coloured Lenses! Not only did I get contacts, I got them in my prescription and I got a color that I didn't actually already own!

This cute package has officially added...Geo Super Angel Grey to my collection!!!

OMG, Lookit this cute case! EEEEEEEE!

What I like about it is that is seems more like a regular contact case.

While I love my cute animal cases, sometimes they aren't the best at keeping tightly closed and keeping all of the solution inside. And... when you have several pairs of contacts, and you happen to get on a plane where the moisture easily gets sucked out of MOST of your cases... it can kinda stink.

That doesn't seem to be the case (haha, I made a funny, did you get it?) with this case however! Yay for secureness!

These contacts were super comfortable I popped them right in and didn't have to adjust them even once. I barely felt them as I did my shoot with them, and therefore, they were absolutely glorious!

(Ring from Sugared Bones Accessories)

They showed up very well on my dark brown eyes! And trust me, I know how hard it is for things to show up on dark brown eyes... Haha! But these and I seemed to have an understanding of each other!

Plus, they weren't as over the top as some of my other contacts are ( I have some where people will stare at you weird from across the street! ) They were subtle enough where they added a hint of exoticness as soon as someone got close enough to you.

(necklace from Sugared Bones Accessories)

I think they can almost border between the glassy doll look, and the dark, smoky, "come hither" eyes depending upon how you do your make up and what you wear with them!

I give these Geo Super Angel Grey Lenses a two thumbs up, an A+, and a happy dance! I LOVE THEM!

Get them here!

Thanks so much to Geo Coloured Lenses for sending them to me!
